What's the difference between a Session, Workshop and Seminar?

Technical Sessions have always been the heart of the IBC, where attendees can watch, listen and learn about the various topics scheduled for presentation. Conference attendees may choose from presentations in four concurrent technical sessions, as new technical presentations are scheduled every 25 minutes. Pre-selection of presentations is not required.

Workshops or Special Interest Sessions are focused sessions on specific topics, usually 4 or more hours in length, and are presented by co-sponsors, partners and other leading industry groups. Pre-selection of presentations is not required.

Seminars are 4, 8 or 16 hour intensive courses scheduled during the Conference that provide registrants with in-depth focused continuing education on a variety of topics. Separate registration is required, and a certificate of completion is awarded to each registrant.

Official confirmation from the IBC Offices regarding each attendee’s eligibility for PDHs will be mailed after the Conference. If you require a Confirmation Letter, please check mark the “PDH Letter Requested” box on the Registration Form. Please note that some sessions will require you to register individually.
